Geriatric Emergency Medicine Bootcamp

Geriatric Emergency Medicine Bootcamp

Following a hugely successful pilot last year we are excited to announce:
The inaugural North West London Geriatric Emergency Medicine Bootcamp!
This is a one-day conference which will provide tailored education to improve the acute and urgent care of frail older adults, it will focus on care, management & decision making in a crisis.
This is a truly collaborative project, uniting care providers from across North West London. We hope to build an engaged, motivated network across the region, keen to affect change for our patients.

We recognise that our different roles mean that we have all unique set of skills and experiences. This project is about sharing knowledge to improve the experience and care of our patients. We have engaged general practice, primary care, community providers, London Ambulance Service, patient and carer groups, charity and 3
rd sector groups, acute trusts and many others to ensure that we have a wealth of knowledge represented and there is something for everyone on the day!

The agenda will cover all the big topics in frailty but has been tailored to fit the needs of the local community! We have sent out surveys and have been busy looking at all the feedback, complaints, compliments and incidents as well as local data to make sure this day is as unique as our population and our providers.

We are excited to have speakers from across the region and of course, we’d love to see as many people, actively involved in patient care, nurses to pharmacists, administrative staff to consultants, joining us on the day.

Everyone is welcome. It’s an amazing opportunity to share best practice together.

We would also like to invite people to showcase posters at the event. If you would like to share your innovative projects or have any questions please email us on: geriatric.bootcamp@imperial.nhs.uk
